2. RB Washaun Ealey - 5-11 205 lbs. (Twin City, GA - Emanuel County Institute) Committed to on UGA on 1/28/08. Many consider Ealey the number #1 junior in the state of Georgia. Great frame, good balance, power, speed, vision, and acceleration. Atlanta Journal-Constitution 2007 Player of the Year. Score 58 touchdowns his junior season. Ranked as the 7th best overall juinor in Georgia by Rivals.Com. Forty: 4.45 secs, bench max: 280 pounds, squat max: 380 pounds. Also had an early offer from Florida.
3. LB Dexter Moody - 6-2, 205 lbs. (Twin City, GA - Emanuel County Institute) Committed to on UGA on 1/28/08. One of the top players in the state. Very athletic, could play a number of positions but will likely begin his career at outside linebacker. Ranked as the 23rd best overall juinor in Georgia by Rivals.Com. 4. LB Chase Vasser - 6-3, 205 lbs. (Gainesville, GA - Chestatee HS) Committed to on UGA on 1/28/08. One of UGA's top targets for 2009. Ranked as the 19th best overall juinor in Georgia by Rivals.Com. 5. OL Chris Burnetts - 6-4, 290 lbs. (LaGrange, GA - Troup HS) Committed to UGA on 2/01/08. One of the top junioe linemen on the South. Ranked as the 14th best overall juinor in Georgia by Rivals.Com. Also had offers from Florida, Auburn, Oklahoma and others. Oustanding student: 4.0, expects to enroll early.
6. QB Zach Mettenberger - 6-5, 210 lbs (Watkinsville, GA - Oconee County HS) Committed to UGA on 2/02/08. One of the top QBs in the country. Rated as one of the top juniors (all postions) in the country and 10th best overall play in Georgia by Rivals.Com. Mother works in the UGA football office. Also haad offers from Florida State, Boston College and others.
7. S/LB Shawn Williams - 6-1, 195 lbs (Blakely, GA - Early County HS) Committed to UGA on 3/28/08. Hard hitting, athletic safety/linebacker who was being recruited by a number of southern schools. Ranked as the 22nd best overall prospect in Georgia.
8. DL Abry Jones - 6-3, 250 lbs. (Warner Robins, GA - Northside HS) Committed to UGA on 4/03/08. One of the top defensive lineman prospects in the country. Athletic enough to play defensive end but will likely grow into a tackle in college. Rated as the 2nd best overall prospect in Georgia, the 107th best overall prospect in the nation and a 4-star prospect by Rivals.Com. Rated as the 4th best defensive end and a 4-star prospect by Scout.Com. Chose the Dawgs over Miami. Also had offers from Florida, Florida State, Clemson, Alabama and others.
9. OL Dallas Lee - 6-4, 290 lbs. (Buford, GA - Buford HS) Committed to UGA on 4/19/08. One of the top lineman on Georgia. Will play guard or center in college. 10. QB Aaron Murray - 6-1, 200 lbs. (Tampa, FL - Plant HS) Committed to UGA on 4/24/08. One of the top QBs in the country. Ran for over 900 yards and passed for over 4000 and 50 TDs as a junior. Selected to participate in the Elite 11 QB Camp. Ranked as the 48th best overall prospect in the country by Rivals.Com. Ranked as the 8th best QB in the country and a 4-star prospect by Scout.Com. Ranked as the 7th best offensive tackle in the country by Scout.Com.
12. LB Michael Gilliard - 6-2, 200 lbs. (Valdosta, GA - Valdosta HS) Committed to UGA on 5/10/08. One of the most highly recruited linebackers in the South. Ranked as the 19th best overall player in Georgia and a 4-star prospect by Rivals.Com. Ranked as the 20th best weakside linebacker in the country and a 3-star prospect by Scout.Com. 16. WR Rantavious Wooten - 5-10, 160 lbs. (Belle Glade, FL- Glades Central HS) Committed to UGA on 10-19-08. Very elusive athlete who's on of the top athletes in Florida. As a junior had 700 yards receiving and approximately 700 yards rushing for 14 total scores. Ranked as the 25th best wide reciever in the country, the 40th best overall prospect in Florida and a 4-star prospect by Rivals.Com. Originally committed to LSU.
